When Valarie heard “incurable,” her world stopped. Facing multiple myeloma and breast cancer, she struggled to see beyond the diagnosis. At City of Hope, Valarie found a place where she felt seen and supported. She discovered there was still life to live and purpose to pursue. Now, Valarie uses her voice to advocate for others and to show that cancer isn’t the end of your story. She participates in Walk for Hope to inspire others to keep moving forward.
